GENERAL:

1. These rules have been adopted by the Board of Governors and may be amended at the discretion of the Board.

2. The Club runs on an honor system. A manager is at the Club only during the summer season. Therefore, members are expected to know and abide by Club policies year-round. THIS APPLIES TO GUEST PRIVILEGES AND GUEST FEES IN PARTICULAR. During the off season, when a manager is not at the Club, members remain responsible for guest fees and should send the appropriate fees to: Treasurer, Abenakee Club, P.O. Box 234, Biddeford Pool, ME 04006. To simplify paying off-season guest fees, pre-addressed envelopes are available at the Clubhouse, the maintenance shed, and from the Treasurer.

3. The Club is closed on Sunday mornings. From July 1 through Labor Day, the Club opens at 12:30 PM on Sundays. During the balance of the year, when services are being held at the Union Church, the Club opens at 11:00 AM on Sundays.

4. Specific dress codes are listed in the tennis, golf, and croquet sections. However, members should be dressed appropriately at all times when visiting the Club. MEMBERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR GUESTS AND MUST ENSURE THAT THEY, TOO, ABIDE BY THE DRESS CODE.

5. Members are requested to direct suggestions and comments to a member of the Board of Governors, not to staff members.
